Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Can substitute with coconut sugar or a sweetener of your choice.
  • 3 teaspoons apple pie spice Essential for that cozy flavor.
  • 1 can Pillsbury Grand biscuits (not flaky layers) Works best for fluffy texture.
  • 1 cup apple pie filling with apples cut into small pieces Can use homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Adds warmth to the filling.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Opt for high-quality butter for best flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the sugar and apple pie spice. Set aside.
  2. Open the can of biscuits and carefully separate each one into two layers. Flatten each layer into a 4-inch circle for a total of 16 circles.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the apple pie filling with the teaspoon of cinnamon until combined.
  4. Place about a tablespoon of the apple pie filling mixture in the center of each biscuit circle.
  5. Fold the sides over the filling, pinching to seal, then roll each filled biscuit into a ball shape.
  6. Spray the basket of your air fryer with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the balls in the basket of the air fryer, leaving about 2 inches apart, and lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  2. Set the air fryer to 350°F and cook for 8-9 minutes, until they are golden brown.
  3. Remove the bombs from the air fryer and dip each in melted butter.
  4. Roll each dipped apple pie bomb in the sugar and spice mixture.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature. For oven baking, preheat to 375°F and bake for 15-17 minutes before dipping.

Notes

Keep an eye on cooking time as air fryers can vary. For extra sweetness, drizzle with caramel sauce before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or 5 days in the refrigerator.
