Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.
- Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
- Mince the garlic.
Cooking
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and broccoli. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the sauce mixture, and stir well to combine.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and the beef is cooked through.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper, and serve hot over rice.
Notes
For a beautiful presentation, serve over rice or quinoa and drizzle with additional sesame oil. This dish can be meal prepped and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
