Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until creamy.
- Gradually add the milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt, whisking until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Sprinkle nutmeg on top if desired.
Baking
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the custard is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
Serve with fresh whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or frozen for 2 months.
