Method
Preparation
- Start by cutting your sirloin steak into evenly sized bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine the steak pieces with olive oil, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss well.
- Transfer the seasoned steak bites to the crockpot, spreading them out for even cooking.
- Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce over the steak.
- Scatter the minced garlic, butter, and brown sugar on top.
Cooking
- Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 6 to 7 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
- For a thicker sauce, whisk cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth. Add to the crockpot during the last 20 to 30 minutes.
Serving
- Once cooked, garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider subbing brown sugar with monk fruit or honey. This dish can also be veganized with mushroom, jackfruit, or tofu, and using vegetable broth.
