Ingredients

Syrup Base
  • 1.5 cups water Use filtered water for best results.
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar Regular white sugar works well for sweetness.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Opt for light brown sugar for a softer taste.
Liqueur Ingredients
  • 2 cups vodka Choose a high-quality vodka like Tito's or Grey Goose.
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract Use pure almond extract for an authentic taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure extract is recommended to enhance the flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon brandy Optional; adds depth to the flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  2. Over medium heat, stir continuously until the sugars completely dissolve and the mixture is smooth—about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, stir in the vodka, almond extract, vanilla extract, and optional brandy. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Pour the mixture into a clean glass bottle or jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  6. Store it in a cool, dark place for at least 1 week, or 2 weeks for optimal flavor.
  7. Before serving, give the bottle a gentle shake.
