Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for crispiness.
- Wash and dry the green beans thoroughly; moisture will steam the beans instead of roasting them.
- Trim the ends of the green beans with a sharp chef’s knife for a refined presentation.
- On a lined baking sheet, drizzle the green beans with olive oil, then sprinkle minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to coat.
Roasting
- Arrange the green beans in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Generously sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the beans.
- Roast in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes until tender and cheese is lightly golden.
- Upon removing from the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
For added flavor, consider a sprinkle of lemon zest or tossing in cherry tomatoes during the last few minutes of roasting.
